The most important step of my summer skin care routine has been cleansing. And then cleansing some more. I can’t stand going to bed with sticky saltwater skin – so I often double cleanse. Cleanse the day off you might say. Cleansing is the basis af any good skincare routine – morning and night. No matter the season.
These are a few of my favourite cleansers – ultimate skin refreshers and dirt dissolvers:
One face wash to rule them all Glossier calls their Milky Jelly Cleanser. It is milky, easy and leaves your skin soft and never tight. Its power comes from the same gentle cleaning agents found in contact lens solution, so tough on impurities and still safe to use on your eyes. I also have the little travel size which was perfect for my trip to Italy.
The Squalan Cleanser is a gentle oil-to-milk cleanser that you apply on dry skin and massage in. Then you add lukewarm water and massage. Rinse off and feel your skin soft and clean. Morninga Oleifera Seed Oil has strong cleansing properties and Squalane restores the natural balance of the skin. Try as a mask and simply leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing off.
Same with the Melting Cleansing Balm from Emma S. It contains oils from apricot and canola and will also melt from a luxurious balm into a soft milk, when adding water. It removes makeup as well as impurities.
Alpha – H Balancing Cleanser is a creamy three-in-one cleanser which works to correct the skin’s natural pH balance. It doesn’t remove skin’s naturally occurring oil and moisture and it brings comfort to dry and tight skin. The cleanser is rich in Vitamin E and Aloe Vera that helps to hydrate and rejuvenate. Non-foaming formula that gently sweeps away toxins and debris. As a bonus it doubles as a shaving cream.
An all-in-one gentle face cleansing gel from Swiss Clinic that works like a magnet. The efficient micellar formula picks up particles in one simple step – and you don’t have to rinse. The micelles are molecules that acts like magnets and attract makeup and impurities from the skin’s surface. Without adding any water at all. You simply apply to dry skin with a cotton pad and sweep the pads gently outwards removing makeup and impurities.
What’s your cleanser type? And are you double cleansing?
