Skin first. I’m not wearing that much makeup these days – well I’m not wearing any actually. Instead I’m focusing on giving my skin a break from putting it on every morning and removing it every night and instead just feeding skin a lot of great products. 5 products I’m trying out these days – plus one I’ve already used up.
Not really going anywhere these days, but I was supposed to travel at the moment, and one thing I was packing for my trip was the Kora Organics Noni Glow Body Balm. It’s a compact balm stick that you can easily glide all over for easy application. Certified organic noni extract, coconut oil and cupuacu butter provide intense hydration.
This pretty hand sanitiser was also for bringing in my bag, but I’ve used it all up. Made by Touchland, a female-led brand, this hand sanitiser is hydrating, fast-absorbing and kills 99,9% of germs. It also smells a lot better than many of the other hand gels I’m trying out these days – even though this one is fragrance free. You can choose between lavender, mint, vanilla and much more. They are all sold out at the moment due to the situation but you can pre-order.
LIQUID GOLD, SQUALAN AND DEW:
Liquid Gold from Alpha-h is an award-winning resurfacing treatment that supposedly effectively diminishes wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage. it clarifies and brightens complexion, reduces the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation. Works as a toner, exfoliation, serum and moisturiser all in one. It works like an overnight facial but clinical studies also show that in just 20 minutes, liquid Gold decreases wrinkles depth, improves texture and increases moisture within the skin. Might as well use all this time at home to increase moisture and reduce wrinkles no?
Squalan Moisturizer Facial Oil is a powerful anti-ageing oil that improves the skin’s moisture balance and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. The main ingredient of the serum is 100% plant based and is identical to a substance that occurs naturally in the skin but is depleted with age. Use morning and night on face, neck and décolleté.
Jorgobé Hydrating Glow Serum is a unique nutrient-rich combination of botanical oils. The high concentration of essential fatty acids, strong antioxidants and powerful vitamins has a nourishing, regenerating and firming effect on the skin. The lightweight formula is quickly absorbed and is a true hydration-boost, ideal for dry and dull skin.
Add a little shin with Haloscope from Glossier. A dew effect crystal-infused highlighter. The stick’s outer core, the halo, is formulated with genuine crystal extracts for an all-day glow that is not glittery. The solid, oil-based inner core is made from vitamin-rich moisturisers for a hydrated, dewy finish. Skin first – makeup second, but this little stick makes you skin look amazing.
The stick comes in three shades – this is Moonstone. Skin first and then a little dew.
Another products I’m using a lot these days is this little gem.
