Backstage Beauty – Chloé

During Paris Fashion Week I went backstage at the Chloé spring summer 2015 show, to take a closer look at the makeup. I was there with Mac Cosmetics and makeup artist Lucia Pieroni was key on the look. The Chloé girl is always beautiful and this time was no exception. The inspiration behind the look is a clean grungy look. Natural girls with a makeup that exudes a French and feminine vibe. “Think Kate Moss on the covers of Vogue in the 90’s” Lucia said. Here is how the look was created:

Skin:

“First massage the face with moisture infusion to give a natural glow. Then we mixed Studio Finish Concealer with Moisture Infusion to create a light texture, applied only where there was a need. It’s a look created with few products and it’s important it doesn’t get to heavy.”

Eyes:

“We have added a bit of shine with the fingertips to create a natural glow and used Haute & Naughty Mascara in brown – only on the upper lashes, for a grungy and imperfect look. The lashes should not be curled, but be more straight – curled lashes are too beautiful – straight lashes look more boyish and grungy. Not grungy in a dirty and trashy way, but in the clean 90s way. The brows are combed and only filled in a bit where needed. But again – as little as possible ”

Lips:

“We have added a bit of Lip Conditioner to make them look healthy and natural.”

Nails:

“Nothing on the hands except nail oil – the toes have a nude polish.”
