New Season – Wardrobe Revamp

New season – new trends – new wardrobe? I’m not one to follow the trends that much as I dress quite basic, but it’s always nice to update your closet when seasons change. If you don’t have a clue on next season, the first thing you should do is collect inspiration. Create a mood board with items, looks and accessories you like – be it from the runway, editorials, Pinterest or blogs. Gather as much as possible and then sort through it. Which colours, materials, cuts, silhouettes etc. will be your fave for the season. Then take a look at your existing wardrobe. Detox and save stuff you won’t be using for later or better yet – sell it and make money for new stuff. Use your mood board and pick only the pieces that fit into your new wardrobe plan. Then start building a capsule wardrobe with the right basics and the right key pieces – from the runway or from the high street. Develop a signature look by picking safe main pieces that you know fits you well and are the essence of your style. Then you can start adding new pieces. Shop smart and stick to you plan so you don’t end up with mistakes. Keep it simple and add only things that match your mood board. Maintain your wardrobe and fix things that needs repair, send items to the dry cleaner etc., and give your wardrobe an overhaul twice a year. If you need inspiration for springs new trends simply keep coming back to Nouvelle for inspiration. Here you have my mood board and 8 key pieces I dream of adding this season.
