Q: What is your beauty routine?
A: “I wash my face with water morning and night. Every day. I use a serum from Caudalíe and an eye cream from Kiehl’s. When I fly I also use the Eau De Beauté from Caudalíe to spray my face during the flight. I never leave the house without a daydream with SPF – it should be light and not greasy. It does’t have to be anything expensive and I don’t really have any favourites. As long as it has SPF. That’s the most important. At night I use a night cream and that’s really it. I have been using cream since I was 14 – it’s important to be good to our skin. Once in a while I use a face mask to give my skin a little treat. For makeup I keep it simple. A concealer and the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat round my eyes. A blush and a mascara. That’s it.”
Q: Do you stick to any specific diet?
A: “I think about what I eat, like not eating too many carbs at night and stuff like that, and then I work about 4 times a week. I like to eat, so I have to work out. At the moment I have a personal trainer that I work with two times a week and then 2 times a week on mu own in the gym. I have to work out and I combine my workout with cycling – I bicycle a lot.”
Q: Your favourite place to shop in New York?
A: “My favourite is Reformation – it’s located both in Lower East and in Soho. They have really nice stuff, like simple dresses and the materials are good. I actually bought my bridesmaids dress for a friends wedding there. And then I love Cos. That’s another favourite. Good prices, and I love the minimal and simple things they have. & Other Stories as well. I go there with my mum and we can always both find something we like. I’m not really into prints and stuff – I like more simple things. And you really get something for your money in these places. Also stop by the vintage store Beacon’s Closet – it moved to Greenpoint. I can spend hours there.2
Q: Where do you go to eat out?
A: “Five Leaves in Greenpoint. It’s close to where I live and the food is great. It’s organic and the best thing is to sit outside and have lunch. Also a biergarten named Radegast in Williamsburg – it’s a good place to have drinks, and my boyfriend works there so I get drinks for free sometimes – not bad.”
Q: What job do you remember as being really special?
A: “I have never been on a crazy shoot with animals or something like that, but I do remember one day i shot with Steven Meisel in the morning and we were done around 15 and then I went on the next job, which was with Mario Sorrenti. We worked all night on that shoot. That was a pretty cool day.”
